Music Of The Month: May

This months music of the month won’t include any Eurovision songs. I decided to not put them in this blogpost, because May mainly was about Eurovision. Today I will give you 5 non-Eurovision songs that I loved this month.

Twenty One Pilots – Ride.

First of all the new Twenty One Pilotes single. I am in love with it! It is so good and I am starting to like them more and more.

Justin Timberlake – Can’t Stop The Feeling!

I saw him performing at the Eurovision (on tv). I am not a fan of Justin Timberlake, but some of his songs I really like and this is one of them. It was also really cool to see him at Eurovision.

DNCE – Cake By The Ocean.

Everytime this song is on the radio, I can’t help it but I just want to sing along with it. This song is so catchy.

Bastille – Pompeii.

The first song from Bastille I ever heard and again this song is really catchy. I can’t believe I am going to see them in June. I am so excited to finally see them again, hopefully with new an amazing music.

You Me At Six – Loverboy.

And my first ever You Me At Six song. After Eurovision this has been my tune. I have been listening to them every single day!

I Love Music Tag.

As you probably noticed last Friday nothing came online, that was because I didn’t feel like posting anything. Today I have a new blogpost for you: I love Music Tag.

Do you have an IPod, Mp3 or….?

I used to have an Mp3, but a few years ago I decided to buy an IPod. I still use this iPod once in a while, but not as much as I used to. I use my Phone or my IPad most of the time, because I have spotify on it.

Can you play any instruments?

Sadly, no I don’t. I actually want to learn to play the guitar and hopefully I will get to do that this year.

Whats your favourite band/singer?

Yes, but it is actually  not one band or singer. I just love to much different music and I actually do love a lot of singers and bands. But I think my all time favourite bands and singers are: All Time Low, Linkin Park, Bastille and Sergey Lazarev.

Do you have an all time favourite album?

Yes I do. That is Linkin Park – Living Things! This album made me listen to them again.

Favorite song?

Favourite song. I have to many favorite songs at the moment. I really can’t choose, but if you want to know my favourite songs from each month you should check out my Music Of The Month blogposts at the end of the month

Have you ever entertained for an audience?

No, not really…

Favourite album cover?

Have you ever written a song?

No, I am not that creative sadly.

If you could sing with any artist, who would it be and why?

It would definitly be with All Time Low, because these boys are so much fun! It would be a party to sing with them.

Today I want to introduce something new on my blog. Every once in a while I will do this blogpost. I am going to put my ipod on shuffle mode and I give you 10 random songs on my ipod. You will get a sneak peak into my music taste and what kind of music I listen a lot. There may be a few songs with the same band or artists in this list. Let’s start with the first 10 songs!

Avenged Sevenfold – Natural Born Killer.

All Time Low – My Only One.

All Time Low – The Edge Of Tonight.

Sleeping With Sirens – Go Go Go.

Panic! At The Disco – Hurricane.

You Me At Six – Fresh Start Fever.

Imagine Dragons – Hear Me.

One Direction – Perfect.

Bastille – Sleepsong.

All Time Low – Bottle And A Beat.

My Favourite Bands

When I was writing down my favourite bands for this blogpost, I found out that I listen to a lot of bands. I wrote 20 bands down and today I will talk about my 10 favourite ones. If you want to see the other 20 bands just let me know and I will make an extra blogpost for you.

Bring Me The Horizon.

Last year I started listening to Bring Me The Horizon. I heard Drown for the first time on BBC radio 1 and I asked myself which band it was. It turned out that it was Bring Me The Horizon. After I heard Throne, Bring Me The Horizon became one of my favourite bands. I never thought that I would listen to them, but after hearing That’s The Spirit I am in love with this band. I am going to see them this summer on the dutch festival called Pinkpop.

Fall Out Boy.

The first time I heard Fall Out Boy I was at my uncles house and I saw them on MTV. The first song I heard was Thanks For The Memories. Since then Fall Out Boy is also one of my favourite bands. My favourite song is: Thanks For The Memories. I just can’t forget the monkeys and even after all these years I still love that song a lot. I haven’t seen them live yet!

Outtrigger.

Outtrigger is a Swedish band and I saw them for the first time at Melodifestivalen 2014 with their song Echo. I really wanted them to win Melodifestivalen and that they went to Eurovision, but that didn’t happen. This band and their song were not a typical Eurovision act. Echo is pretty good, but my favourite song is Last Of Us. I put a link on both of these songs, because I suggest you should listen to this band! They are really good. I haven’t seen them live yet. Another good reason to visit Sweden.

You Me At Six.

I have known You Me At Six for a while now, but in 2014 I actually started to listen to them. It was because they did a show or a tour with All Time Low. The first song I heard was Loverboy and it has been my favourite for a while. Now my favourite song is Lived A Lie. I haven’t seen this band either.

Of Mice And Men.

In 2014 I went to a Linkin Park concert in the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. Of Mice And Men were the support act and I always check out the support act before the concert. I wasn’t convinced yet, but after I saw them preform I was convinced. Their performance was amazing and even my dad liked it. I don’t know which song I heard first but my favourite song is: Feels Like Forever.

Panic! At The Disco.

I listen to Panic! At The Disco since I Write Sins Not Tragedies came out and I saw them on tv. It is still an amazing song even after all these years. My favourite song now a days is House Of Memories from their new album called Death Of A Bachelor. I am going to see Panic! At The Disco in May.

The Script.

I really liked The Script for a long time, but since 2 years I really started to listening to them. The first song I heard was The Man Who Can’t Be Moved. I enjoy listening to this band a lot. It gives me peace. My favourite song is The Energy  Never Dies. I saw The Script live for the first time last year at Pinkpop and it was amazing!

Linkin Park.

Linkin Park is the band that has been there almost all my life. I started listening to them when I was a kid, thanks to my dad. He is a Linkin Park fan. There was a period that I didn’t listen to them, but since a few years I rediscovered them. My favourite song is In The End, but I have more favourites. I choose this song, because it is my all time favourite. I saw Linkin Park in 2014 and that concert was the best concert yet! I hope they will go on tour this year and I can see them.

Bastille.

I knew Bastille already, because of their song Pompeii but in early 2014 I really got into them and I still am. In June that year I had the chance to see them on a festival called Concert At Sea. Their music makes me so happy and I just get loose when I listen to them. My favourite song is Icarus. This summer I am going to see them again at Pinkpop and this makes me so happy (I also have that with the next band). When I saw they would prefrom at Pinkpop I knew I had to get tickets.

All Time Low.

And last but not least: All Time Low! Yes, I had to include them, because they are my favourite band since 2008. The first song I heard was Lost in Stereo and after hearing that song I became a fan. A big fan! It took me years to finally see them live, everytime there was a stupid reason I couldn’t go and one time I cried a lot when I couldn’t go and my parents wouldn’t let me go alone. But then june arrived and I went to Jera On Air to see them live for the first. I was really nervous for this concert, because I had a feeling that it would go wrong again. But it didn’t and I was so happy that night, because I saw my favourite band live after all these years. I can’t describe how I felt that evening, I was happy, but I felt so much more. And this year I am going to see them again! In june at Pinkpop and I can’t wait to see them again. I love them so much and My favourite song for now is (it changes a lot): Something’s Gotta Give.

Music Of The Month: January

First Music Of The Month from 2016! Today I will show you the songs I listened the most to. I find January a boring month with Music. Almost nothing is released and I discovered almost no new music.

Panic! At The Disco – Don’t Threaten Me With A Good Time.

This  month Panic! At The Disco released their new album and Don’t Threaten Me With A Good Time was the first song being released in 2016. I really love this song and I have been listening to this a lot. Eventhought it is not my favourite from their new album: Death By A Bachelor. My favourite song from their new album is: House Of Memories.

To Kill A King – Wolves.

I rediscovered To Kill A King this month, I used to listen to them a lot while I was writing. Since I wasn’t writing a lot anymore, I haven’t listened to them. I started writing this month again and I realised how much I missed To Kill A King. I get relaxed when I listen to them.

Donny Montell – I’ve Been Waiting For This Night.

I know Donny Montell from Eurovision 2012, where he participated for Lithuania. Back then I didn’t like his song. This year he is back in the Lithuanian pre-selection and I must say I love his song. I really like these kind of songs. I hope he will win the Lithuanian final and will once again participate for Lithuania.

Our Last Night – Sorry (Cover).

On Twitter I saw that Our Last Night would upload a new cover and I love it when they do covers. This month they did a cover of Justin Biebers Sorry and I must say I love the cover more then the orginal!

Bastille – The Draw.

I have been listening a lot to Bastille the past 2 weeks and they deserved to be in this post of Music Of The Month. The Draw is my second favourite of their album All This Bad Blood and I listened to The Draw the most this time. Bastille is currently working on their new album, which will be released in 2016! I included a studio version and live version, because I just adore the Live version.
