February favourites

It is the end of the month again! That is why I have my February favourites for you today. I don’t have much favourites this month, because I haven’t use a lot of products. I use the same products over and over again and I don’t want to put them in my favourites every month.

Christina Aguilera: Touch Of Seduction.

The perfume from Christina Aguilera has been my favourite perfume since a long time. I believe this perfume is a new one, but when I saw it was on sale I just had to buy it. I really like this scent, but I can’t tell you what it smells like.

Bastiste Dryshampoo.

I don’t wash my hair everyday anymore and the days I skip washing, I use dryshampoo, because then my hair looks a bit better than without it. It just works good for me.

Let The Good Times Roll.

I asked my friend Ben for some Lush products he liked and he said I had to try Let The Good Times Roll. He was right, because this cleaner smells amazing. I really love this scent and I can’t stop smelling it when I used it. It does the job and it has become my favourite cleanser.

Fuij Green Tea Body Butter.

I love this range from The Body Shop. It smell so good and it is my favourite range so far. I have the sorbet and the scrub too, but for this time of the years of the year the body butter works fine. It feels so fresh.

The Maze Runner series.

I have been reading this series so fast, because I immediatly got into the story. I read book 2 a bit slower, but I still loved it. Ofcourse I was really curious how it ended and I am statisfied with the ending. When I saw that there was an other book, I was really happy.

TV show & program.

Pretty Little Liars.

Pretty Little Liars is back and that is why it is in my February favourites. I really love that they went 5 years forward. The first episodes were a bit boring, but after these episodes it became so good again! I am really curious what happen and every Tuesday I can’t wait till I can watch it.

You all know by now that I love the Eurovision Song Contest and thanks to  Eurovision I got to know the Swedish pre-selection. Melodifestivalen is my favourite pre-selection before Eurovision. Every Saturday evening I am excited to watch it and thanks to the SVT app on my tablet I can watch it on my television!

What are you favourites this month?

Q1: What does music mean to you?

Music means everything to me and because it means so much for me I decided to get a musical note tattoo on my wrist. Music has been driving force for years and without it I couldn’t have done the things I did. I listen to music most of the day. Listening to my favourite bands or artist makes me feel happy and thanks to the music I got to know amazing people and some of them became good friends. When I listen to music I forget everything around me.

Q2: What is your first music-related memory?

My dad had a caraccident and the car was to damaged. So dad had to get everything out of the car and the first thing I said to him was: Don’t forget the AC/DC cassette tape. This was years ago, because there weren’t any cds yet. I grew up with music from AC/DC and Linkin Park, thanks to my dad. I still listen to these bands and in 2014 I saw Linkin Park for the first time live in Amsterdam.

Q3: What was the first album you’ve purchased yourself?

This is a hard one, because I don’t exactly know which CD it was. I think my first cd that I actually bought was from Adam Lambert. His first CD named For Your Entertainment.

Q4: What was the latest music you purchased? (No online streaming or free downloads, I’m talking about cash here)?

My latest music I purchased is the new CD from Panic! At The Disco. I have been listening to this band for years now and when I heard their new cd Death Of A Bachelor I knew I had to buy it. Especially when I go driving I listen to cds. My favourite song of their album is: House Of Memories.

Q5: Which song did you listen to last? (No, cheating, come out with the dirty pleasures!)

The last song I listened to was a song from the Hungarian pre-selection for Eurovision. The song is from Freddie and it is called: Pioneer. I really hope Hungary will select this song, because Freddie his voice sounds amazing.

I actually don’t read a lot of music blogs and I really need to follow more people who write about music! But here are my nominations.

It’s Me Gea she writes about everything, but she also makes blogpost about music, concerts. I really love her concert pictures and how she writes about the artists. Her music post are mainly about Swedish artists.

This is really bad, but I actually don’t know who to nominate…. So I wanted to ask you, if you know a great blog about music or you are a music blogger, let me know in the comments.

Music Of The Month: February

It is time for another Music Of The Month, this month the songs are mostly from the Eurovision pre-selections and probably next month too. It is because the Eurovision pre-selections are taking place now. Which means I listen more to that music.

Freddie – Pioneer.

This song is in the Hungarian pre-selection and tomorrow we will know if he will represent Hungary at the Eurovision Song Contest. I really hope he will go, because I love his voice. His voice is just so good and his song is amazing. Hungary will be in my top 10 for sure and maybe even top 3.You will hear why!

Albin & Mattias – Rik.

This song is from the Swedish pre-selection. Sweden is really strict with their songs, because the songs who are in the final are no where to be found on the internet. This song is in Andra Chansen (which means Second Chance) and is available online. I really love Mattias his voice and this song is in Swedish. I am not into rap that much, but I like it.

Lighthouse X – Soldiers Of Love.

This band are representing Denmark in May! I was really happy with the Danish choice and after last year I am happy they are back in my favourites. This song may not be the strongest one, but this is my guilty pleasure so far. This song has been stuck in my head for over a week now and I still love it.

Nicky Byrne – Sunlight.

This guy is representing Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest. It was one of the first Eurovision songs and this year Ireland is in my favourite. I really love the style of this song and I can see it doing well in Stockholm in May. I don’t think it will win, but Ireland will be in the final once again!

Twenty One Pilots – Stressed Out.

The first time I heard this song, I didn’t knew this song was from Twenty One Pilots. I really love this song a lot and this has been my tune for the 2 weeks. It is one of the songs I have been listening to besides the eurovision songs. Everytime I hear this song on the radio, the volume is going up!

De Staat – Peptalk.

This song is amazing. Everytime I listen to this song the volume goes up. Literally! I am not into their other songs that much, but this one is definitly my favourite song of them! You really should check them out, because it is a great band.

My Favourite Bands

When I was writing down my favourite bands for this blogpost, I found out that I listen to a lot of bands. I wrote 20 bands down and today I will talk about my 10 favourite ones. If you want to see the other 20 bands just let me know and I will make an extra blogpost for you.

Bring Me The Horizon.

Last year I started listening to Bring Me The Horizon. I heard Drown for the first time on BBC radio 1 and I asked myself which band it was. It turned out that it was Bring Me The Horizon. After I heard Throne, Bring Me The Horizon became one of my favourite bands. I never thought that I would listen to them, but after hearing That’s The Spirit I am in love with this band. I am going to see them this summer on the dutch festival called Pinkpop.

Fall Out Boy.

The first time I heard Fall Out Boy I was at my uncles house and I saw them on MTV. The first song I heard was Thanks For The Memories. Since then Fall Out Boy is also one of my favourite bands. My favourite song is: Thanks For The Memories. I just can’t forget the monkeys and even after all these years I still love that song a lot. I haven’t seen them live yet!

Outtrigger is a Swedish band and I saw them for the first time at Melodifestivalen 2014 with their song Echo. I really wanted them to win Melodifestivalen and that they went to Eurovision, but that didn’t happen. This band and their song were not a typical Eurovision act. Echo is pretty good, but my favourite song is Last Of Us. I put a link on both of these songs, because I suggest you should listen to this band! They are really good. I haven’t seen them live yet. Another good reason to visit Sweden.

You Me At Six.

I have known You Me At Six for a while now, but in 2014 I actually started to listen to them. It was because they did a show or a tour with All Time Low. The first song I heard was Loverboy and it has been my favourite for a while. Now my favourite song is Lived A Lie. I haven’t seen this band either.

Of Mice And Men.

In 2014 I went to a Linkin Park concert in the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. Of Mice And Men were the support act and I always check out the support act before the concert. I wasn’t convinced yet, but after I saw them preform I was convinced. Their performance was amazing and even my dad liked it. I don’t know which song I heard first but my favourite song is: Feels Like Forever.

Panic! At The Disco.

I listen to Panic! At The Disco since I Write Sins Not Tragedies came out and I saw them on tv. It is still an amazing song even after all these years. My favourite song now a days is House Of Memories from their new album called Death Of A Bachelor. I am going to see Panic! At The Disco in May.

The Script.

I really liked The Script for a long time, but since 2 years I really started to listening to them. The first song I heard was The Man Who Can’t Be Moved. I enjoy listening to this band a lot. It gives me peace. My favourite song is The Energy  Never Dies. I saw The Script live for the first time last year at Pinkpop and it was amazing!

Linkin Park.

Linkin Park is the band that has been there almost all my life. I started listening to them when I was a kid, thanks to my dad. He is a Linkin Park fan. There was a period that I didn’t listen to them, but since a few years I rediscovered them. My favourite song is In The End, but I have more favourites. I choose this song, because it is my all time favourite. I saw Linkin Park in 2014 and that concert was the best concert yet! I hope they will go on tour this year and I can see them.

I knew Bastille already, because of their song Pompeii but in early 2014 I really got into them and I still am. In June that year I had the chance to see them on a festival called Concert At Sea. Their music makes me so happy and I just get loose when I listen to them. My favourite song is Icarus. This summer I am going to see them again at Pinkpop and this makes me so happy (I also have that with the next band). When I saw they would prefrom at Pinkpop I knew I had to get tickets.

All Time Low.

And last but not least: All Time Low! Yes, I had to include them, because they are my favourite band since 2008. The first song I heard was Lost in Stereo and after hearing that song I became a fan. A big fan! It took me years to finally see them live, everytime there was a stupid reason I couldn’t go and one time I cried a lot when I couldn’t go and my parents wouldn’t let me go alone. But then june arrived and I went to Jera On Air to see them live for the first. I was really nervous for this concert, because I had a feeling that it would go wrong again. But it didn’t and I was so happy that night, because I saw my favourite band live after all these years. I can’t describe how I felt that evening, I was happy, but I felt so much more. And this year I am going to see them again! In june at Pinkpop and I can’t wait to see them again. I love them so much and My favourite song for now is (it changes a lot): Something’s Gotta Give.

Lush Order

Lush Order

Today I have an other Lush order for you. My cleanser was empty, so I had to get a new  one. I decided to ask a friend of mine for help. He showed me some products he liked and I decided to get three of these products. I also forgot to order toothy tabs.

Let The Good Times Roll.

My friend said that this product is a really good cleanser. I wanted to buy Aqua Marina, but my friend said that the scent was disgusting. So I bought Let The Good Times Roll and it was a good decision, because it smells so good.

I bought 100 gram for 9,90 euro.

The Comforter.

When my first bottle was emtpy, I needed to get a new one. So I decided it get a bigger bottle than the last time. I am so happy that I have my favourite showergel again!

I bought 250 gram for 16,95 euro.

It’s Raining Men.

I already had this showergel on my Lush wishlist, because when I got a sample from Honey! I Washed The kids I fell in love with the scent. When I saw they had a showergel, I needed to get it.

I bought 100 gram for 8,60 euro.

I Love Juicy.

This shampoo was also on my Lush Wishlist and because I decided to get rid  of washing my hair everyday. It is a perfect moment to try this shampoo. The scent is a bit to strong for me, but if it works, I don’t care about the scent.

I bought 100 gram for 8,60 euro.

Grease Lightning.

I bought this products to see if it helps my pimples. I am going to use it before I go to bed.

I bought 45 gram for 10,45 euro.

Dragon’s Egg.

My friend said that I should get this bathbomb and I know I didn’t try this one before. That is why I bought it and I really like the scent of this bathbomb.

I bought 180 gram for 4,95 euro.

Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar.

My friend also said that I should get this one and I did get it. I love Lush bubble bars, because I can use then more as once. I really like the scent too.

I couldn’t find this bubble bar anymore on the Dutch site.

Throwback: Music #2

Last week you could read the first part of my throwback, if you haven’t read it yet and you want to read it, then click here. Today I have 5 artists for you!

This is a Dutch band from Volendam. The members are Jan Dulles, Jaap Kwakman and Jan De Witte. When I still listened to them Jaap De Witte was a membe and Jan De Witte wasn’t. I have been to a concert once and in 2011 they got selected to go to The Eurovision Song Contest. But their performance was bad. Everytime the camera zoomed in, they looked away from the camera, their song was in English, which I didn’t like. I wished they kept the song in Dutch. After they failed to reach the final, I stopped listening to them.

My favourite song: Geloven in het leven.

Another Dutch band called Di-rect, Jamie, Tim, Spike and Bas were the members back then when I still listened to them. Since Tim left the band and Marcel replaced him, I stopped listening to them. I think because I prefer Tim and his voice.

My favourite song: Hungry For Love.

I think everybody knows who Cascada is and most of you probably listened to Cascada. I really loved her older songs, like Miracle and Everytime We Touch. I can’t remember which year I stopped listening to her, but in 2013 she participated at the Eurovision Song Contest for Germany with her song Glorious. She became 21st.

My favourite song: Miracle.

Enrique Iglesias.

The first song I heard from Enrique was Do You Know? (The Ping Pong Song). After that I was addicted and I believe that I had this song on repeat a lot! But this song isn’t my favourite song. I have been listening to Enrique the longest of all the artists I mentioned today.

My Favourite song: Tired Of Being Sorry

The Wanted.

The Wanted has a song called All Time Low and when I was searching a song from my favourite band All Time Low, I saw their song. After listening to that song, I wanted to listen to more of their songs and that is how I got to know The Wanted. In 2014 the band announced that they would be taking a hiatus after their current tour.

My favourite song: Glad You Came.
