The Bad Guys

Yes, I have a thing for Bad Guys in movies. I got inspired to make this blogpost when a Dutch blogger posted this blogpost. I made a list from which movies or series I had a thing for the bad guys. I will start with characters from the movies. This blogpost may contains spoilers.

Eric Coulter (Divergent).

I hated this character in the Divergent series books, but in the movie I really liked him. Eric looks really badass, especially in the first movie when they are still in Dauntless. Jai Courtney does a great job playing Eric.

Severus Snape (Harry Potter).

First of all R.I.P Alan Rickman. Since day 1 I had a thing for Severus Snape. I always found him mysterious and I still don’t know why I did. It felt like we didn’t knew everything about Severus Snape and I was sad that Snape died.

The Governer / Philip Blake (The Walking Dead).

Don’t get me wrong, but from day 1 I loved this character. David Morrissey did one hell of a job playing The Governor did some really bad things (killing some of my favourite characters), but there is a reason why season 3 is still my favourite season. The reason is the Governor. He kept surprising me all the freaking time and just when I thought he would do something good. After he died, I always said that he would come back. I didn’t happen but I still believed it.

Gareth (The Walking Dead).

There is one bad guy in The Walking Dead that should have been longer in this tv show and that is Gareth. I loved that guy, his character was so badass. He was a cannibal, but I imagine Gareth hunting down Ricks group for a longer time. Gareth really thought he was doing the right thing (cannibalism).

Crowley (Supernatural).

My favourite demon with a great accent! Am I the only one that thinks Crowley is so funny, especially when he is angry! I loved the episodes were Crowley helps Dean. Two of my favourites characters together. He is a great king of hell.

Alex Mahone (Prison Break).

He suprised me killing my favourite character and at first I hated this guy so much. Especially when he killed Tweener. But after that I started to like him more, I wanted to know how he really is. It feels like he is not himself (he is on drugs obviously) and now I am currently watching season 3. I really love him in season 3.

Assassin’s Creed (December 22).

Genre: Action, Adventure, History.

When Callum Lynch explores the memories of his ancestor Aguilar and gains the skills of a Master Assassin, he discovers he is a descendant of the secret Assassins society.

Upcoming 2016 movies #1

First week of 2016 is already over and I was wondering what to write about today. I decided to write about movies, I haven’t done that in ages. Today I will write about upcoming 2016 movies, I want to watch. I am very excited about the movies who will air this year. This blogpost will be in two parts, part 2 will be online on Tuesday. The movies I am going to write about today are released from January until April and in blogpost number 2 from May until December. I will also write the date when they will be out, but I only looked for the Dutch dates. If you want to check when they are released in your country, check They have all the information about it.

The Forest (Us date only: January 08)

Genre: Horror

The story is set in the Aokigahara Forest, a forest at the northwest base of Mount Fuji in Japan where people go to commit suicide. Sara Price, a young American woman, arrives at the forest in search of her twin sister, who mysteriously disappeared. Despite warnings not to “stray from the path,” Sara enters the forest to discover the truth about her sister’s fate, only to be confronted by the angry and tormented souls of the dead who now prey on unsuspecting victims.

The main reason I want to watch this movie is because it is a Horrormovie and I love horrormovies a lot! Most of the horrormovies now a days aren’t as good, but after seeing this trailer I have high hopes for this one!

The Revenant (January 28).

Genre: Adventure, drama, thriller.

A frontiersman named Hugh Glass on a fur trading expedition in the 1820s is on a quest for survival after being brutally mauled by a bear.

A movie with Leonardo DiCaprio has to be good! I saw the trailer from this movie and it looks really promising. I think it is going in the same direction as The Grey, which I really like.

The 5th Wave.

Genre: Adventure, sci-fi, thriller.

Four waves of increasingly deadly alien attacks have left most of Earth decimated. Cassie is on the run, desperately trying to save her younger brother.

Deadpool (February 11).

Genre: Action, adventure, sci-fi.

A former Special Forces operative turned mercenary is subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers and adopts the alter ego Deadpool.

When I saw the trailer of this movie, I got really excited. I like the Marvel Movies, but I am not a huge fan of the movies. Eventhought this movie could be the one so far for me from Marvel. I also find the trailer funny.

Pride and Prejudice: Zombies (February 18).

Genre: Action, horror, romance.

Jane Austen’s classic tale of the tangled relationships between lovers from different social classes in 19th century England is faced with a new challenge — an army of undead zombies.

It has the word zombies in the title, which ofcourse immediatly got my attention. I don’t know if I will find this really good, but I definitly will watch it.

London Has Fallen (March 03).

In London for the Prime Minister’s funeral, Mike Banning discovers a plot to assassinate all the attending world leaders.

The Divergent Series: Allegiant (March 16).

Genre: Adventure, sci-fi,

I love Divergent, the books, the 2 movies that I already saw. I can say I am so looking forward seeing this movie! Especially, because I know what happens in the books and I am really curious how they filmed it. So far I haven’t been dissapointed and this probably will be my movie of the year.

Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice (March 24).

Fearing the actions of Superman left unchecked, Batman takes on Superman, while the world wrestles with what kind of a hero the world really needs. With Batman and Superman fighting each other, a new threat Doomsday created by Lex Luthor. Its up to Superman and Batman to set aside their difference along with Wonder Woman to stop Lex Luthor and Doomsday from destroying Metropolis.

Batman is my favourite superhero, since I was little kid! I have seen all the Batman movies and ofcourse I have to watch this new Batman movie. I don’t like Superman that much to be honest, but I think this will be a great movie.

An orphan boy is raised in the jungle with the help of a pack of wolves, a bear, and a black panther.

The Huntsman: Winter’s War (April 21).

Genre: Action, adventure, drama

As two evil sisters prepare to conquer the land; two renegades – Eric the Huntsmen – who previously aided Snow White in defeating Ravenna, and his forbidden lover, Sara set out to stop them.

I believe this is the sequel to the previous movie: Snow White and The Huntsman. Which I absolutly loved. That is why I want to watch this movie. I hope this will be as good as the first one.

Which of these movies, you would like to watch?

Movie Review: Insurgent

Today I will review the movie Insurgent. I just saw the movie a few days ago and I waited very long until the bluray arrived. So let’s start with some information.

Insurgent (2015)

Genre: Adventure, Sci-fi, thriller.

Insurgent is the second part of The Divergent series. Warning: if you haven’t seen Divergent yet, there could be some spoilers in my review. If you don’t want to read any spoilers: Go see Divergent first!

There are five factions in Divergent: Dauntless, Erudite, Abnegation, Candor and Amity. The story begins five days after Dauntless attacked Abnegation. Tris, Caleb, Four and Peter are hiding in Amity. Eric finds a box that contains all the images of the Factions. Janine I still searching for Tris and Four, because she blames the divergents for the attack on Abnegation. Tris and Four have to find the other people from Dauntless which are hiding somewere and make sure Janine doesn’t find them.

This movie was a great movie! I really loved it. When I read the book I was already extremly excited. I finished the book in 1 day, so when this movie came out I really wanted to see it. I love the storyline and all the visual effects they used. It got me from almost crying to being really surprised or shocked. The only thing I missed from this movie was that they didn’t show the strong relationship from Tris and Four. I wished they had done that more, but on the other side I’m glad that they didn’t use the example in the book. The ending of the movie was really different from the book, I don’t know if I like it or not. I just have to find out in the next movie: Allegiant part 1. Most of the time the second movie is less as good as the first one, but with this movie I really liked the first and the second. I can’t say which one is better, because both have their good and bad things.

I read the book first and I prefer reading the book first and then watching the movie. So if you like reading, you could also read the books. Can’t wait for the next movie!
