Blog silence.

Hello Everyone,

As you noticed it has been silent around my blog. The past month I had no inspiration to write any blogposts, but since past Thursday I decided to try and start my blog again. I am mainly going to write about music, but sometimes there will be a different blogpost. I am not going to set any dates when I will upload, but I’ll let you know.

Thanks in advance!

Music Throwback #1

A few days ago I decided to make a spotify list for my all time favorite songs. Which means songs from the past and songs now a days. While I was writing down some songs, I got the idea to do a Music Throwback blogpost. In every blogpost I will talk about 1 song I used to listen to, but still love!

The first song of this series is from Yves Larock and it is called Rise Up. This song was released in 2008, back in the days it was my summer tune and I watched the videoclip over and over again. Just to listen to this song. When I heard this song on the radio a few days ago, I immediatly started to sing along. I still knew all the words. This song gives me a summervibe and hopefully the weather will be better soon, so I can enjoy this song more!

Music Of The Month: May

This months music of the month won’t include any Eurovision songs. I decided to not put them in this blogpost, because May mainly was about Eurovision. Today I will give you 5 non-Eurovision songs that I loved this month.

Twenty One Pilots – Ride.

First of all the new Twenty One Pilotes single. I am in love with it! It is so good and I am starting to like them more and more.

Justin Timberlake – Can’t Stop The Feeling!

I saw him performing at the Eurovision (on tv). I am not a fan of Justin Timberlake, but some of his songs I really like and this is one of them. It was also really cool to see him at Eurovision.

DNCE – Cake By The Ocean.

Everytime this song is on the radio, I can’t help it but I just want to sing along with it. This song is so catchy.

Bastille – Pompeii.

The first song from Bastille I ever heard and again this song is really catchy. I can’t believe I am going to see them in June. I am so excited to finally see them again, hopefully with new an amazing music.

You Me At Six – Loverboy.

And my first ever You Me At Six song. After Eurovision this has been my tune. I have been listening to them every single day!

  3. Israel, Spain, Croatia, Latvia, Estonia, Hungary.

I decided to count them in a different way, the amount of times they were mentioned as number 1, 2 or 3. After I did that I saw we had a clear top 3. Which means I will reveal the top 3.

Eurovision 2016 Top 10

Eurovision 2016 Top 10

In a few days the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 will start and I am so excited! This year Eurovision will be held in Sweden, Stockholm. Their theme is: Come Together. Also Sweden made a change in the televote, I am not sure if I like that or not.

If you want to see my full top 42, I will add it into this blogpost to!

This year it would have been 43 countries that would sing in Sweden, but Romania got disqualified, because they still had to pay a lot of money. It is good they are disqualified, but it is so sad for their singer.

The Netherlands are back in the game again! When I first heard our song, I disliked it! But this song has grown so much on me and I really hope Douwe Bob will qualify, because a finale without your country isn’t fun.

10. Spain.

Spain

Barei – Say Yay.

Spain

This song has come a long way, from a non favorite to a favorite. It has grown so much on me and this song is not a typical song that spain would send. I find it really catchy and it is so easy to remember. She is amazing live.

Spain will sing in the final!

09. Hungary.

Hungary

Freddie – Pioneer.

Hungary

I am so happy that Hungary chose him! I really love his voice. Eventhought I wished he had more of a rock song for his voice. I still love this song a lot and this is my favorite hungarian entry ever! I also love the message of this song.

Hungary will sing in the first semi-final.

08. Israel.

Israel

Hovi Star – Made Of Stars.

Israel

Before Israel made this version of the song, I really didnt like the song at all. It was such an forgetable song, but then they released this version. I fell in love with this song and I am so happy they did a revamp. Hovi sings this song so beautiful and I enjoy every minute of this song!

Israel will sing in the second semi-final.

07. Croatia

Croatia

Nina Kraljic – Lighthouse.

Croatia

Croatia is back and they are stronger than ever! I missed this country so much and they decided to take Eurovision serious. I really love this song and I love Nina’s voice. I was scared she wouldn’t be that good live, but she is really good!

Croatia will sing in the first semi-final.

06. Iceland.

Iceland

Greta Salome – Hear Them Calling.

Iceland

I liked this song before I went to Eurovision in Concert, but after the concert I knew this could be a possible dark horse. She is so good live and the song has a strong message. At the beginning I prefered the Icelandic version, but still this version is amazing! I just hope she won’t be underrated!

Iceland will sing in the first semi-final.

05. Russia.

Russia

Sergey Lazarev – You’re the Only One.

Russia

Finally after screaming to Russia for 8 years that they had to send Sergey to Eurovision, they finally did it. Sergey is my favorite Russian singer and I knew he wouldn’t dissapoint me. I still can’t believe he is actually going. This song is amazing and Russia is in it to win it! His vocals live are amazing and all I can say is I love this song a lot! This will be atleast in the top 5

Russia will sing in the first semi-final.

04. Estonia.

Estonia

Jüri Pootsmann – Play.

Estonia

This guy has such an amazing voice! I really love his deep voice and that is the main reason I love this song so much! I find his voice very mysterious and Jüri’s facial expression are just gold!

Estonia will sing in the first semi-final.

03. Bulgaria.

Bulgaria

Poli Genova – If Love Was A Crime.

Bulgaria

Best Bulgarian entry! When they announced that Poli would participate again for Bulgaria, I thought their song would be a rock song, but it wasn’t. I must say this song is so much better! Poli is amazing live and I want this to qualify, because Bulgaria deserves to be in the final.

Bulgaria will sing in the second semi-final.

02. Latvia.

Latvia

Justs – Heartbeat.

Latvia

I normally don’t like the style of these kind of songs, but I just love it a lot. Justs has an amazing voice and I love it when he sings higher and puts his power into it. I catch myself listening to this song all the time. Latvia did once again an amazing job.

Latvia will sing in the second semi-final.

01. France.

France

Amir – J’ai Cherché

France

This song gives me so much feelings everytime I listen to it. It makes me fall in love with this song over and over again. I normally not a fan of French songs, but this is so amazing. I love the French and English parts, because it sounds amazing. Amir is such a charming singer. If anyone last year said to me that I actually would have France as my winner, I probably would have told them that they were crazy. I still can’t believe it how good this song.

France will sing in the final.

Please respect my opinion!

Eurovision in Concert 2016

Eurovision in Concert 2016

On Saturday the 9th of April Eurovision in Concert was held in the Melkweg, Amsterdam. 26 of the 43 countries participated in this event. I had an amazing day with my friends and I even got to meet my friends from Twitter. Personal pictures are on my instagram account (AllTimeFionax). Today I want to give you a review from each country that participated in this event. The videos I used are from the Eurovision In Concert YouTube, all rights belong to them! Pictures are made by me.

Cyprus.

20160409_203709

Minus One – Alter Ego.

First country to sing was Cyprus and I already had Cyprus in my favorites, because it is a rock song. I like the song live, but not as much as I do when I hear the studio version. The vocals are good, to be honest better as expected. There aren’t much Rock songs in Eurovision at all, but this is the best one this year!

Slovenia.

20160409_203938

ManuElla – Blue And Red.

Slovenia was second to perform. I really dislike this song, especially the lyrics. Vocally she is good, but this song does nothing with me and she couldn’t convice me at all on the concert.

Romania.

20160409_204407(0)

Ovidiu Anton – Moment Of Silence.

I am not sure about this song, sometimes I don’t like it and sometimes I like it. His performance didn’t convince me at all. His vocals were good, but it is nothing special. Romania has been disqualified! Which means we won’t see Ovidiu in May. I feel sorry for the artist, because he did all his work for nothing!

Albania.

20160409_204743

Eneda Tarifa – Fairytale.

She suprised me to be honest, because I wasn’t as bad as I expected! I still don’t like the song, but she did sing a lot better. The live version is better as the studio version.

United Kingdom.

20160409_205252

Joe & Jake – You’re Not Alone.

These two guys are so charming! I loved their performance at Eurovision in Concert. This song has been growing on me the past few weeks and seeing this live made me love it even more! It is really catchy and the past week I have been singing this song a lot.

Switzerland.

20160409_205618

Rykka – Last Of Our Kind.

To be honest she surprised me with her vocals, but she didn’t convince me either. I find this song boring and eventhought she sung good I didn’t feel this song at all.

Belarus.

20160409_210123

Ivan – Help You Fly.

I kinda start to like this song to be honest. Ivan live was good and I really like the style of this song. He isn’t the best live, but it was nice to see him perform. I listen to this song more and more. He was actually wearing clothes, gladly.

Moldova.

20160409_210517

Lidia Isac – Falling Stars.

I didn’t like her performance at all. Vocals were ok, but nothing special. I don’t like her song either. It was nice to see her live, but it didn’t change my opinion.

Iceland.

20160409_211316

Greta Salome – Hear Them Calling.

Greta was amazing at Eurovision In Concert. She started her performance with playing the violin and after that the song started. I knew this performance would be good, but seeing this song live made me even love it more! This could be a possible darkhorse at the Eurovision and I really hope she will do good!

Montenegro.

20160409_213508

Highway – The Real Thing.

What a mess! I really don’t want to say bad things about this, but I really don’t like it. The performance was such a mess and this song is definitly a no go for me. They didn’t convice me at all! I expected a lot more from them to be honest.

Israel.

20160409_213953

Hovi Star – Made Of Stars.

Since the revamp I absolutly adore this song! This song is so beautiful and Hovi sings so good live. He totally conviced me on saturday! I love Hovi his personality.

Serbia.

20160409_214342

Sanja Vučić ZAA – Goodbye (Shelter).

I am sad that how much I try to like this song, but somehow I just can’t like it! Sanja is really good live and her performance was amazing. I just don’t feel the song at all. Which is a shame.

Poland.

20160409_214927

Michael Spzak – Color of Your Life.

When I heard this song for the first time I disliked it, but I catch myself singing this song a lot. I start to like this song, however I didn’t like his performance that much. I loved the part where the public starts singing along with the ohohoh parts. Vocals were okay.

Austria.

20160409_215445

Zoë – Loin D’ici.

This girl conviced me so much on saturday that she became one of my favourites! She got an amazing applause, which she deserved! She is so good live and I totally fell in love with this song. I never throughout she would became one of my favorites.

Estonia.

20160409_220023

Jüri – Play.

The guy with the amazing and unique voice. This song live is amazing, his voice is amazing. I love his voice so so much. This is one of my top Favorites this year!

Ukraine.

20160409_220417

Jamala – 1944.

Eventhought this song isn’t in my favorites, I liked her performance! After listening to this song again I am starting to like it more and more. She is really good live and I think this song could do good in May.

Bosnia & Herzegovina.

20160409_221031

Dalal & Deen Feat. Ana Rucner & Jala – Ljubav Je.

I like this song, because this song is in their own language. I didn’t like the rap part. I didn’t expect a lot, but I really liked it. Even the rap part! The only thing I didn’t like is that Jala was walking on the stage and it felt like he was waiting until the song was finally over.

Croatia.

20160409_221327

Nina Kraljic – Lighthouse.

This was the first time that I heard the Croatian song live. Croatia has been in my favorites since I heard it. I must say I am impressed. Nina is really good live and with a good staging she could do really good. I also loved her dress and it was perfect for this song.

The Netherlands.

20160409_223419

Douwe Bob – Slow Down.

I knew Douwe Bob would give an amazing performance and he is just a great performer. This song grew so much on me the past weeks and I think it will do good in Stockholm. It is so different from all the other songs.

Malta.

20160409_223803

Ira Losco – Walk On Water.

Before the concert I wasn’t sure if I liked Malta or not, but after the concert I knew I liked Malta. Ira is a good singer and hopefully she will do something with her performance, because she was just walking on stage.

Latvia.

20160409_224240

Justs – Heartbeat.

This performance was just amazing! I even loved it more that the studio version. Justs is amazing and I love this song so much. Aminata did a good job.

Bulgaria.

20160409_224608

Poli Genova – If Love Was A Crime.

Back in 2010 I already loved Poli with her song Na Inat, sadly she didn’t reach the final. This year I love her song even more. She had an amazing performance and I can’t wait to see her performance in May. This song also grew on me.

Italy.

20160409_225023

Francesca Michielin – No Degree Of Separation.

I like the Italian song, but the performance on ESC in Concert wasn’t that good. The bass was too loud and because of that I couldn’t her Francesca at all. It was a dissapointment, because I was excited for the Italian song.

France.

20160409_225507

Amir – J’ai Cherché.

I was excited to the Amir live! I just love this song so much, everytime I hear this song I immediatly get a mood boost. It also feels like I fall in love over and over again. This was my favorite performance of the night and Amir is very charming.

Macedonia.

20160409_230133

Kaliopi – Dona.

Kaliopi is an amazing artiest, she performed good. Unfortunaly I don’t like her song at all. It is amazing that she sings in her own language.

Spain.

20160409_230854

Barei – Say Yay.

This song has grown so much on me and seeing this live made me even love it more. She is amazing live and I love her dance moves. Great choice to let her end the show

Eurovision 2015 Top 10

Eurovision 2015 Top 10

In 2015 Eurovision went to Vienna. Austria had the honour to host the contest. Their theme was: Building Bridges. To be honest I didn’t like this contest, not because of the songs, but because of how it was hosted. They rushed the anouncement of the finalists, they lost contact with spokepersons a lot of time and I didn’t like the stage, also I didn’t like the hosts.

The winner of Eurovision 2015 was Sweden. Måns Zelmerlöw won the contest with his song Heroes. Sweden is in my top 10.

10. Belarus

belarus

Uzari & Maimuna – Time.

6483924-3x2-940x627

My 2015 guilty pleasure, I started to love them after they realised their official videoclip. I love these two together. The violin parts sounds amazing and eventhought I didn’t like their performance that much, they still deserved to be in the final. I was dissapointed that they didn’t reach the final.

Belarus didn’t reach the final and they got the 12th place in their semi with 39 points.

09. Azerbaijan.

azerbaijan

Elnur Huseynov – Hour Of The Wolf.

82772299-EFDE-41C2-A4D2-A6A66DAA8411_mw1024_mh1024_s

Azerbaijan decided to send this beautiful ballad with a familiair face. Elnur particpated in 2008 together with Samir with their song Day after Day. I prefer this song over Day after Day, because this is song is more mature. I didn’t like his performance, it was way to busy for this song.

Azerbaijan reached the final and they got the 12th place with 49 points.

08. Georgia.

Georgia

Nina Sublatti – Warrior.

Nina-Sublatti_-Eurovision-Song-Contest-Vienna-2015-03-e1432539339302-620x766

Biggest Climber this year! Georgia went from my non-favourite to one of my favourites. I didn’t like the song, because it was to screamy for me, but when she performed at Eurovision I started to love her song. She did an amazing job and her performance was great!

Georgia reached the final and they got the 11th place with 51 points.

07. Israel

israel

Nadav Guedj – Golden Boy.

64b2e029416b3dd700c10b7084e13244

Israel decided to give a 3-minute party in Vienna. With only 16 years Nadav gave an amazing performance in Vienna. When I hear the first second of this song I know that it is Golden Boy. I love how energetic this song is and it makes me want to go to a party. After Harel Skaat, this is the best song from Israel.

Israel reached the final and they got the 9th with 97 points.

06. Estonia.

Estonia

Elina Born & Stig Rästa – Goodbye To Yesterday.

Best Estonian song since I watch eurovision. This song is almost like the Dutch entry at Eurovision 2014. But that doesn’t mean I don’t like it. I love it, just like I loved the Dutch entry. Their performance was simple but I really liked it. This song is such a charming song.

Estonian reached the final and they got the 7th place with 106 points.

05. Slovenia.

Slovenia

Maraaya – Here For You.

Eurovision+Song+Contest+2015+Semi+Final+2+66L31gKTc1Zl

This song is so amazing. Actually all the songs in my top 5 are amazing! The woman has such an unique voice. I could reqonize her voice out of thousands. That is the main reason I love their song. Performance was good, they only had a bad position. They opened the final.

Slovenia reached the final and they got 14th place with 39 points.

04. Norway.

norway

Mørland and Debrah Scarlett – A Monster Like Me.

Eurovision-Morland_3316144k

This song has grown so much on me. Especially after I saw them at Eurovision In Concert. They were so amazing live and this song is so beautiful. Seeing this song live made me love it more and more. I think if I haven’t seen them live, it wouldn’t be so high.

Norway reached the final and they got the 8th place with 102 points.

03. Belgium.

Belgium

Loïc Nottet – Rythm Inside.

Loic+Nottet+Eurovision+Song+Contest+2015+Semi+zN9XCy_gsVKl

This is the best Belgian entry ever! I loved Tom Dice, but I love this song more! Eventhought his song sounds a bit like a song from Lorde. His performance was a bit weird to be honest, but you saw that he put effort in his performance. I was convinced that this would be the Eurovision 2015 Dark Horse. He had a great chance to win and he got Belgium a good result.

Belgium reached the final and they got the 4th place with 217 points.

02. Australia.

Australia

Guy Sebastián -Tonight Again.

Article%20Lead%20-%20wide996399152gh8aihimage_related_articleLeadwide_729x410_gh8ai8_png1432517937120_jpg-620x349

Australia loves the Eurovision and that is why Australia had the chance to participate at Eurovision as a guest country. They decided to let Guy Sebastián particpate with his song tonight again. I must say I love this song so much and it is such a catchy song. This song could easily be in the charts. His performance was cute.

Australia was a guest country in the final and they got the 5th place with 196 points.

01. Sweden

sweden

Måns Zelmerlöw – Heroes.

6492842-3x2-940x627

And once again is my winner also the winner of the Eurovision song contest. From the first time I heard this song I fell in love with this song and I really love his performance. Måns is a great performer and I an happy that I had the chance to see him at Eurovision in Concert. This song means so much to me and I was really happy when he won the contest.

Sweden won the contest with 365 points.

What is your top 10?

Please respect my opinion.

Music Of The Month: April.

Time for Music Of The Month. I am so excited for next month, because Eurovision is on TV and I am going to see Panic! At The Disco! I still have 3 Eurovision songs in this months favorites, but I didn’t mention them in my last Music Of The Month.

Alan Walker – Faded.

My uncle showed me this song, but when he showed me at the time I wasn’t interested in this song. But a few weeks later I heard it again on the radio and I loved it. I searched for this song, but I couldn’t find it. Until this song was on the radio again and I decided to use Shazam.

All Time Low – Missing You.

When All Time Low released the video of this song, I became addicted again. I love this song so much and the lyrics are amazing! I love the videoclip, because they are talking to fans all over the world and they filmed it in my favorite city London.

Zoë – Loin D’ici.

Before I went to Eurovision In Concert I didn’t like this song. But after hearing it live, I am such a fan. Zoë is so adorable and the song live is so cute. She got the biggest applause of the evening.

Jüri Pootsmann – Play.

When I heard this song for the first time I fell in love with it. I really love his voice, it is so unique. Everytime I listen to this song, I just can’t get over the fact how amazing his voice is.

Poli Genova – If Love Was A Crime

Poli participated at Eurovision in 2011 to, she didn’t reach the final that year. But I am pretty sure she will reach it this year. If Love Was A Crime is so good! After I heard it live it also grew on me and she is now in my top 3!
